(June 30, 2015)

As we reported earlier, a joint meeting between the European Parliament’s Special Committee on Tax Rulings and Other Measures Similar in Nature or Effect, the European Parliament’s Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee, Mr. Juncker and Mr. Moscovici was planned for the morning of July 2, 2015. On the webpage of the Special Committee on Tax Rulings an announcement has been published that this joint meeting is postponed due to current developments in the relation with Greece.

As we reported in our article from June 27, 2015 the exchange of views with Mr. Juncker and Mr. Moscovici was not the only item on the agenda. In the latest announcement it is stated that the Special Committee on Tax Rulings will still exchange views with Richard Murphy, Tax Research LLP and founding member of the Tax Justice Network. The announcement furthermore states that the exchange of views with Airbus will continue. Nothing is stated with respect to the exchange of views with Arjen W.H. Meij, which was/is also planned for July 2, 2015.

The announcement furthermore states that the new date for the exchanges of views with Mr. Juncker and Mr. Moscovici, as well as a revised agenda for the remaining meeting of July 2, 2015, shall be communicated shortly.
