INTERNATIONAL TAX PLAZA - EU and Andorra to sign Amending Protocol to the Agreement between the EC and Andorra providing for measures equivalent to those laid down in Directive 2003/48/EC

In the margin of the EU Economic and Financial Affairs Council’s meeting that will be held on February 12, 2016 there will be a signing ceremony with respect to an Amending Protocol to the Agreement between the European Community and the Principality of Andorra providing for measures equivalent to those laid down in Council Directive 2003/48/EC on taxation of savings income in the form of interest payments.

According to the Indicative programme for the Economic and Financial Affairs Council’s meeting as published on the website of the European Council/Council of the European Union the signing ceremony is planned for 14.00 CET.

A draft of the Amending Protocol which is supposedly to be signed on February 12, 2016 was already published earlier on the website of the European Council/Council of the European Union.
