During the course of last week Singapore has concluded several Competent Authority Agreements on the Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information.

 

Singapore – Ireland

On December 20, 2016 the Competent Authorities of Singapore and Ireland concluded an Agreement on the Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information to Improve International Tax Compliance.

 

Singapore and Ireland will commence the Automatic Exchange of Information under the CRS by September 2018. The first year for which information will be exchanged under the Agreement is 2017.

Singapore – Latvia

On December 20, 2016 the Competent Authorities of Singapore and Latvia concluded an Agreement on the Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information to Improve International Tax Compliance.

 

Singapore and Latvia will commence the Automatic Exchange of Information under the CRS by September 2018. The first year for which information will be exchanged under the Agreement is 2017.

On December 22, 2016 the Competent Authorities of Singapore and New Zealand concluded an Agreement on the Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information to Improve International Tax Compliance.

 

Singapore and New Zealand will commence the Automatic Exchange of Information under the CRS by September 2018. The first year for which information will be exchanged under the Agreement is 2017.
