On August 29, 2017 the Swiss Federal Department of Finance issued a press release announcing that on that same date Switzerland and Zambia signed a new double taxation agreement in the area of taxes on income (Hereafter: the DTA).

Although the DTA has been signed, it has not entered into force yet. For the DTA to enter into force, the respective ratification procedures have to have been finalized in both countries. When entering into force, the DTA will replace the agreement between Switzerland and the United Kingdom of 1954 which up to now applied to Switzerland and Zambia.

The Swiss Federal Department of Finance has made the DTA available in the German and the French languages. By clicking on the language of your choice you will be forwarded for the DTA as made available by the Swiss Federal Department of Finance. (French or German)
