On June 28 and 29, 2017, the European Commission hosts a high level Conference on Tax Fairness, in Brussels.

The conference brings together speakers from various horizons such as policy-makers, academics, NGOs or businesses to discuss the role that taxation can play in ensuring social fairness.

 

The conference will address the fight against tax fraud, evasion and avoidance, but also the role of taxation in reducing inequalities and supporting social mobility.

 

During the 2 day event many different speakers will speak. These include a.o.:

·   Marc Fleurbaey, Robert E. Kuenne Professor in Economics and Humanistic Studies, Princeton University
