On October 13, 2016 the European Parliament’s Inquiry Committee into money laundering, tax avoidance and tax evasion (PANA) held a public hearing. The purpose of the hearing was to understand how international standards in the area of information exchange for tax purposes and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) are set, and which are the bodies and mechanisms which assess their effective implementation and enforcement. A video of the hearing has been made available on PANA’s website.
