As a reaction to the Panama Papers the European Parliament established a committee of inquiry to investigate alleged contraventions and maladministration in the application of Union law in relation to money laundering, tax avoidance and tax evasion. This money laundering, tax avoidance and tax evasion Committee or shortly PANA Committee is going to have its first real meeting on September 27, 2016.

 

During this meeting, that will be held on Tuesday September 27, 2016 between 9.00 and 11.30 CET, the PANA Committee will have a debate with some of the journalists who revealed the scandal of the Panama Papers as regards their investigative work, conclusions and possible recommendations.

 

According to a Draft Programme that is made available on the webpage of the PANA Committee the programme is expected to be as follows:
