Entry level: Internship



Porsche North America Internship opportunities are designed to promote both career development and functional expertise for the intern. In this role, the intern will be tasked with administrative; tax related issues, as well as project-related and day-to-day support for the department.  This intern will primarily be supporting our Tax team with various income, indirect tax returns, and ad hoc projects.



·   Assist in the preparation of various income and indirect tax returns throughout the internship period

·   Provide audit support for various federal and state income and indirect tax examinations

·   Provide support for the quarterly and year-end tax provision for the financial audits

·   Assist with tax department special projects as assigned

·   Assist with responses to written notices from various taxing jurisdictions

·   Assist in the preparation of quarterly income tax payments and annual extensions

·   Assist with depreciation calculations

·   Assist with monthly tax balance sheet account reconciliations for all entities



·   Finance majors at the Junior/Senior level or MSA/ MST candidates

·   Coursework and/or interest in corporate or partnership taxation is highly desirable

·   Minimum course work includes at least 1 tax course

·   Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA

·   Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week for at least 6 months

·   Experience with Excel and Word required.  Experience with other Microsoft software packages, such as Access, Project, or Visio is not required but is a definite plus.  Aptitude and willingness to work with new software (tax and nontax) is desirable

·   Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills required.  The successful candidate will enjoy working with others and have fun while completing their assignments accurately and in a timely manner
