Sales & Use Tax Specialist: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family The primary responsibilities of the Sales & Use Tax Specialist is to ensure sales & use tax returns/payments are filed/remitted in a timely and accurate manner, review invoices for the determination of accurate use tax and assist in preparation of monthly tax reports.
How You Will Make a Difference:
· Prepare and file Sales and Use tax returns with the appropriate tax authorities. Ensure returns and payments are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
· Review Accounts Payable invoices to determine applicable use tax.
· Assist with preparation of monthly tax reports.
· Assist in researching tax issues per direction of management.
· Special projects per direction of management.
Skills for Success:
Educational/ Position Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
· Office environment experience required
· Basic knowledge of Sales & Use Tax procedures preferred
· Basic accounting knowledge preferred
· Knowledge of personal computer and office equipment use
· Proficient PC skills (spreadsheets and word processing)
· Excellent initiative and drive
· Written and verbal communication skills
· Organizational skills
