Key Summary

·   Responsible for timely compliance and quality of Tax & statutory matters as per local regulations.

·   As Indirect tax specialist, Responsible for VAT reporting, tax accounting, reconciliation & harmonization of processes & Controls execution.

·   Ensures quality, accuracy and integrity of tax information (i.e. underlying documentation, tax data, compliance data etc.) relating to his/her functional area

·   Reports to Head of Finance, Philippines with dotted line to Regional Process Lead, Indirect Tax – APAC, AccOps.


Key Responsibilities

·   Responsible for timely compliance and quality of Tax (VAT, WHT etc.) and statutory matters as per local regulations including monthly corporate tax reporting.

·   Monitor the VAT/GST account reconciliations to ensure compliancy and accounting integrity.

·   As Indirect tax specialist, drives harmonization of processes and controls. Support Key projects to minimize tax risks & improve quality of compliance.

·   Responsible to execute ICS Controls & ensure the process remains SOx compliant

·   Stay updated with changes on statutory & tax rules and regulations; Assesses business Impact.

·   Ensures quality, accuracy and integrity of tax information (i.e. underlying documentation, tax data, compliance data etc.) relating to his/her functional area

·   Ensures that non-recurring transactions are properly accounted, documented and that they pass their audit reviews.

·   Adjusts statutory processes, procedures, document flow & controls.

·   Supports statutory & tax audit requirements. Fulfills requests from regulatory & tax authorities.

·   Prepares and support knowledge sharing for improved processes and competencies.

·   Manages relationships with External & Internal stakeholders. Coordinates with AccOps, Group Tax, ARIC, Infosys and local country stakeholders for tax & statutory responsibilities.



·   Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.

·   Provides guidance within the latitude of established company policies.

·   Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).

·   Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

·   Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

·   Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.

·   Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.


Key Competencies

·   Bachelor's Degree in Tax, Finance or Equivalent

·   Certified Public Accountant with Degree in Tax specialization (preferred).

·   Experience with local tax, fiscal & Statutory regulatory requirements.

·   Working experience of 5 to 7 Years in Big 4 / MNC Experience.

·   Knowledge of SAP ERP & proficient in excel skills.

·   Knowledge of/ expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, Sox and understanding of business operations

·   Able to drive change in processes to bring organizations in line with harmonized wow and or legal requirements;

·   Decisive, self-motivated and able to work independently.

·   Proactive and ability to analyze, investigate, find root causes and interact with proper channels for solutions and communication purposes.

·   Ability to communicate in English and interact in a multi-cultural environment. Excellent presentation skills.
