About The Role
The purpose of this role is to ensure superior compliance to financial reporting and legislative requirements/rules of authorities and optimize VFNZ’s tax position within the Group’s mandated tax risk management framework. You will contribute to the strategic direction and overall performance of Vodafone New Zealand as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
This role will have responsibility for the review and approval of all corporate tax returns and providing tax input into all areas of the business, evaluating risk, opportunities and requirements both from a domestic and international tax law perspective. You will be responsible for all areas of tax financial reporting and manage the relationship with tax authorities. You will also be responsible for influencing the development of local tax legislation and policy.
To be successful in this role, you will have at least 10 years’ tax experience from Big 4 or an international company. You will also have demonstrable competence in leading and managing a team. You will have experience working with a hands-on approach and working as part of a global team on international / cross-border tax issues. You will have excellent tax technical knowledge with a pragmatic and commercial approach. The ability to work in a flexible fast paced environment is a must.
