Position Summary

As a Tax specialist, you will be responsible of all entities of Nestlé.

 

A day in the life of...

To ensure that corporation tax returns and indirect tax declarations (VAT return, ESL, intrastat, supervision of customs and excise duties, etc) are prepared accurately and on a timely basis and that all supporting documentation is maintained correctly.

You will supervise & work closely together with shared services centers. Prepare tax accounting schedules and support for period end book closes. Besides that, you will ensure compliance with Nestle Accounting Standards and IFRS. You will prepare tax accounting input to statutory accounts and ensure the compliance with IFRS. 

You will also participate in and support the Accounting & Tax Manager in monitoring the overall tax cost. You will continuously provide support with regard to Transfer pricing issues. Participate in and support the training of non-specialists in tax related issues.

Advise on tax issues (CIT, VAT, other indirect taxes, local taxes, etc.) to the different market functions and business, working across multiple domestic and/or international tax areas. Give en ensure the support for the tax audits procedures. Tax research, analysis, and interpretation for purposes of compliance, tax planning, and optimization (e.g., impact of changes to laws and regulations on tax liabilities, tax structuring for merger and acquisition activity, transfer pricing, etc.)

Consultation with external consultants and agencies on tax and customs matters (e.g., external auditors, lawyers, etc.) Proper and accurate maintenance of the company's tax declarations and reports in accordance with local fiscal regulations and the specific Nestle Accounting Standards.

 

What will make you successful

Education Degree in Finance/Economics/Tax and/or equivalent by experience

With at least 2-4 years of experience in an in-house Tax department with focus on CIT and VAT.

Experience and knowledge of the Belgian Tax system (local & regional) and in tax procedures: tax audits, administrative and court claims

Experience in Excise & Custom duties

Strong accounting knowledge

Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (knowledge of SAP is a plus)

A person who has strong in data analytics, good organizational skills and good communication skills;

Someone who has an ability to present information / data in a comprehensive manner to key stakeholders (business, colleagues and market functions)

Fluent in Dutch, French and English (you will work for Neslté Belgilux, daily use of those languages)
