Maersk’s Group M&A Tax team is looking for an ambitious, top performing professional to join the high impact and high profile team responsible for the Tax execution of the Group’s Mergers and Acquisition projects and other ad-hoc tax projects.
In this role you will be part of the core M&A Tax team, working with M&A and corporate finance in a truly global company.
You will be dealing with M&A and investment projects across the world in a number of different industries that the APMM Group operates in. Further the team deals with a number of ad-hoc projects not limited to tax.
This position will have exposure to senior stakeholders and expand your professional network across functions and geographies. We work closely with the Group´s M&A team, Legal M&A team and the financial communities in our different businesses.
You will join the Group Tax Department, which has colleagues located in Copenhagen and around the globe.

The main assignments will include:
• M&A – acquisitions or divestments
• Restructurings: mergers, de-merger, and similar
• Ad-hoc assignments for Tax and other departments in the Group.
We will expect you to keep yourself up to date with developments in tax and adjacent disciplines and participate in relevant courses and seminars.
You will also have the opportunity for professional development within the Maersk Group, through learning from specialist colleagues, participating in internal tax seminars and importantly on the job learning.
Travelling will be required, and may from time to time occur at short notice.

We are looking for
We are looking for a person with at least six years of practical tax experience in a multinational corporation, audit firm, tax consultancy or the tax administration.
You should be able to demonstrate profound understanding of accounting and financial issues.
Further, you hold a relevant academic degree, e.g. CPA, Cand.merc.aud, Cand.merc.jur., MTA or Tax Administration Exam.
As a person you are disciplined and well-organized with a strong emphasis on getting things done timely and correctly.
You have an analytical mind-set, you are dedicated to developing high expertise within a given field and you have a good sense of humor.
In addition, you thrive in a fast paced and competitive environment with interaction with many stakeholders inside and outside the organisation.
Excellent written and spoken English is a must, while Danish is not a requirement.
