You will oversee the statutory reporting obligations for the Mapletree entities in Europe and manage international tax compliance such as income tax returns, VAT returns and various withholding tax matters. You are required to prepare the necessary extensions, estimate payments and coordinate filings. In addition, you will oversee all tax audits and review tax returns prepared by outside preparers. You will also work with tax authorities on outstanding issues and notices, and work with Singapore Headquarters on international compliance issues including country-by-country reporting and other BEPs related requirement. You will also be required to prepare reports and analysis, and undertake ad hoc projects as and when required.
You should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 7 years’ tax experience. Tax knowledge in various European countries (in particular Poland, France, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Hungary and Italy) is essential. To succeed in this role, you should be meticulous, independent and hands on with strong analytical skills. You should also be able to communicate in English to liaise with Headquarters in Singapore. Candidates with broader range of European language skills will have an added advantage.
