The Cisco Global Tax and Customs team delivers tax planning to support sales, finance and operations. The team maintains strong business partnerships throughout Cisco, provides internal training for our business partners and ensures Cisco’s systems and processes are compliant for tax purposes.

This team of high-class professionals is geographically organized with teams covering the USA, Latin America & Canada, Asia Pacific & Japan and EMEAR theatres. The indirect tax manager in the European theatre is an important international role. The role reports to the senior indirect tax manager based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The role will involve coordinating with the indirect tax managers in the other theatres as well as with the compliance/reporting global team tax, and your direct tax and customs peers, within the European theatre. You will also partner with a variety of business functions to support opportunities and expansion from an indirect tax perspective.

Who You are

You are a motivated and enthusiastic indirect tax manager who is driven to learn and grow within a large dynamic and fast changing organization like Cisco. You are an indirect tax professional with a minimum of 7 - 10 years’ experience, willing to help and support the business in finding the best indirect tax compliant solutions for Cisco. You have proven your tax knowledge in your current profession and are seeking the opportunity to exploit the full potential of your tax, analytical and business insight. You have good communication skills (both written and verbal), a strong analytical mindset with exemplary attention to detail and the ability to communicate technical concepts to suit different audiences. You are delivery focused with a service minded attitude.You have excellent social skills with confidence and strength to push back and challenge where needed and have experience, or an interest, in working in the Technology / Telecoms / IT industry.

 

Our minimum requirements for this role:

·   A minimum of 7 - 10 years of relevant indirect tax experience working within a multinational company and/or at a recognised accountancy or legal consultancy

·   strong command of English

·   Education at University level

·   Tax professional qualifications – preferably
