Job Purpose and Summary

Reporting to the Tax and Treasury Manager you will be a fully qualified ACA/ACCA preferably with the CTA qualification. You will have a strong tax background and be able to hit the ground running.  Your experience may be from practice and/or industry environments.  You’ll be seeking an opportunity to increase your experience within a Tax role, although the role also involves a certain amount of Treasury work. You will have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge of Finance across different business areas.

We’ll give you a wealth of responsibility across corporation tax and VAT compliance work along with completing monthly and year end postings in accordance with company policy, US GAAP and completing the tax entries for the statutory accounts under FRS101. 

 

You’ll work closely with the Financial Accounts Department and tax personnel of two group companies and will liaise with the external and internal auditors including the external Tax auditors.  With comprehensive experience in corporation tax and VAT you’ll be our technical expert within the team.

 

You’ll have the ability to develop our tax accounting due to changes to accounting systems in accordance with company policy, US GAAP and FRS101.

You will need to be a fully qualified ACA/ACCA preferably with the CTA qualification. Your strong tax background will enable you to get up to speed quickly and really start adding value.

 

You will have an excellent understanding of corporation tax and VAT including the preparation of corporation tax computations and VAT Returns. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley regulations.

 

You will possess good technical knowledge of US GAAP and FRS 101 and be able to complete monthly corporation tax and VAT postings and prepare entries for the statutory accounts.

 

Your verbal and written communication will be excellent.  You will need to be team player, able to contribute to discussion and solutions as well as having the skills to lead and motivate others when required.

You will work to high levels of accuracy and take ownership for your work. Working as part of a small team you will proactively manage your work load and help others as required. With good communication skills you will be expected to take an active approach in improving the customer service we offer to internal customers.
