On December 16, 2014 the Austrian Bundesministerium für Finanzen (the Austrian Ministry of Finance) on its website published a report of the Steuerreformkommission (Tax Reform Commission) titled “Bericht der Steuerreform-Kommission2014”.

In June 2014 the Austrian government established a workgroup for tax reform which was lead by Prof. DDr. Gunter Mayr. According to the press release issued by the Austrian Ministry of Finance the decision if and which of the suggestions made by the Steuerreformkomssion will end up in a overall concept of tax reforms will be taken in March 2015 by the politische Steuerreformgruppe (political tax reform group) that the Austrian government has established. 

The report of the Steuerreformkommission that was now published is over 200 pages long and is available in the German language.
