On May 15, 2017 the Japanese Ministry of Finance issued press releases announcing that it came to agreements in principle on Double Taxation Agreements to be concluded with Denmark and Japan.

 

Denmark

According to the Japanese Ministry of Finance the Government of Japan and the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark have agreed in principle on a new Convention replacing the Convention between Japan and the Kingdom of Denmark for the Avoidance of Double Taxation with respect to Taxes on Income which entered into force in 1968.

 

The new Convention will be signed after the necessary internal procedures have been completed by each of the two Governments.

 

Estonia

According to the Japanese Ministry of Finance the Government of Japan and the Government of the Republic of Estonia have agreed in principle on a tax convention between Japan and the Republic of Estonia. Currently there is no tax convention in place between Japan and Estonia.

 

This Convention will be signed after the necessary internal procedures have been completed by each of the two Governments.
