On August 10, 2012 the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia concluded a Convention for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income. Although the Dutch ratification process regarding this Convention has been finalized, this agreement has not yet entered into force.

On 4 August 2014, the OECD invited interested parties to comment on BEPS Action 11 regarding work on establishing methodologies to collect and analyse data on BEPS and the actions to address it. On October 7, 2014 the OECD published the comments received on its website.

On October 7, 2014 the European Commission released a press release in which it announces it has opened an in-depth investigation to examine whether the decision by Luxembourg's tax authorities with regard to the corporate income tax to be paid by Amazon in Luxembourg complies with the EU rules on state aid.
